Good Night Kisses

If you know Avrie, you know she will pretty much do anything for chocolate - hershey kisses to be exact.  She has a hard time staying in her bed all night so we made a deal with her - sleep in your bed all night and you get a hershey kiss.  Most nights the thought of chocolate as soon as she awakes is enough to keep her in her bed all night.  But on those other nights, I wake up and there she is asleep in our bed right between Morgan and myself.

When she crawls into bed with us it irritates Morgan to no end.  Probably because she is quite the bed hog.  For me, I have started to look forward to these nights.  I'll catch her leaning over to kiss my head, pushing the hair off my face and hugging me because she wants to, not because I asked her to.  I think these are very precious and numbered moments.  As she approaches 4 years old I know the "get away from me mommy, you're embarrassing" moments are just around the corner and I'm just not ready. For now, if she wants to sleep with us, that's fine by me.  I know it won't last forever.  I'm already looking forward to the day Avrie and Piper come running in our room hand in hand and jump up into the bed with us.  As far as Im concerned there's always enough room in the bed for my babies.
